Nutcracker + Update on life

Merry Christmas Eve Eve or whatever you might call two days before Christmas! Today I wanted to mention a few things going on in my busy life. First of all as I told you a few posts back,  I had an up- coming Nutcracker performance for ballet. Even though it was sad to say goodbye to this year's dances, Nutcracker is officially over...for this year! I always enjoy dancing with all the wonderful dancers. So here are a couple of pics of last weeks dress rehearsal.

In this photo I am with two sweet girls, Grace and Andrea. Somehow I  happened to get a pic with them and it turned out to be a favorite! Also, I am a marzipan in this pic.

This is Abigail, a beautiful and sweet dancer + friend. We are both a snowflake in this picture, if you were curious.

Now I shall talk about my life!

Even though the weather is not what my expectations are for Christmas time, I still manage to act like it is  cold outside. I love my snuggly warm stripped sweaters, a mug full of tasty hot chocolate, and if you noticed painted finger nails, which I rarely ever do! Anyway, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

21 Days til Christmas

I am happy to say that I am back! So many adventures have happened while I was away, so I will try share a few with you.

First of all, we had the most delicious time on Thanksgiving. The next day after Thanksgiving my family and I always decorate for the most wonderful time of the year Christmas, or as I like to think Christ-mas. Black Friday is when we officially start Christmas listening to Christmas music, decorate the house, and one of my favorites watch Christmas movies.

One night I was playing around with the camera, and managed to take this adorable picture of George under the Christmas tree.

Sadly, some of my pictures wouldn't show up so I want get to show those today. Enjoy the December!
I am so excited about Christmas only 21 more days!!!

C r a f t y

Today I am going to give you a few ideas for crafts. I didn't come up with them on my own; I had some help from Pinterest.

  {Polaroid Frame}

What you will need:

~A Frame

~String or wire for the pictures to hang on ( I used string )

~Hooks to hang the thread and to hang on the wall

~Little clothes pins to clip onto the string, you can either paint the clothes pins, or you can buy them in colors like I did. ( I bought the clothes pins from Hobby Lobby)

How to:
  1. First you take your frame and paint. I did bought a plain wooden frame, and my Dad painted the frame white to match my room.
  2. Then you will take your hooks and put them on the side of the frame. It depends on the frame, but I did four rows.
  3. Now take the the wall hook and screw onto the frame, if you don't already have one on the frame.
  4. Next I took my string and and knotted it twice onto the hooks, be sure to tie it on very tight. It will lower when you put the pictures on it if you don't tie it tight enough.
  5. Now you get to place the Polaroid pics on the thread with the clips.
  6. You now have a cute Polaroid frame!

{Headphone Holders}

What you will need:

~ Two Clothes pins
~Glue
~Washi tape or Sharpies

How to:
  1. First you take your two clothes pins and glue them together with the clip part going the opposite way.
  2. When the glue dries you can either decorate the clothes pins with sharpie drawings or use washi tape. I found that washi tape is much cuter.
  3. Last of all you tie the headphones onto the holder. Voila!

{Journal}

What you will need:

~Plain note book or journal
~Decorative paper
~Anything like stickers, fabric, or lace
~Ribbon ( if you want a bookmark )

How to:
  1. Take your plain note book and glue paper on front and back of journal.
  2. Next I glued paper on the inside on the front and back book.
  3. Now for the fun part you decorate any way you want to.
  4. What I did for decorating was glued a piece of fabric on the spiral and sewed on a piece of lace to the fabric on the back and front. I also took some cute pearl stickers and stuck them on the front.
  5. Now for the bookmark all you do is glue a long piece of ribbon, I used silk ribbon, and you can attach a charm at the end for fun!

That is basically all I have to show you today. I hope you enjoyed my little creations, make sure to try them out on your own, and add your own pizazz!

To Dance is to Dream

Even though this pic does not go with my theme, I couldn't resist not showing it. As you can see it is a picture of the gorgeous mums, and of course, George in the background.

Today I wanted to share with you a little bit of my dance life! I have been doing ballet for about eight years now and have loved it from the very beginning. I love to use my talents and dance for the Lord.
Last year in August I started pointe ( which if you didn't know is when you dance on your toes). Here are a few photos of me on pointe.
Also My mom gets the credit on taking the photos of me!

Every year around Christmas my ballet studio, which is Walkerdance, performs The Nutcracker. This year I have the parts a Snowflake, Marzipan, and Flower.

All I have to say is I absolutely love ballet!!!

~Hello Autumn~

"I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers." ~L.M. Montgomery

In one of my favorite books, Anne of Green Gables, Anne quotes this, and I thought it was good fit for my post!
Today in "A Musical Dancer's Journal" I wanted to share with you a few of my fall pleasures.

One of my favorite parts of fall is to have some wonderful hot tea. My mom made some delicious blueberry muffins and they were absolutely scrumptious!!! Usually, I am doing Latin or some kind of school because my mom suggests, "Never waste time". I have come to the conclusion that this statement is quite true.

This weather has made me a happy camper, for you should know, I love winter (I especially like snow), and as you know fall must come before winter. One of my favorite comforts is to snuggle up with my blanket with my cup of tea. Also, if you were wondering my mom crocheted my blanket and I love it dearly! :)
Updated my blog hope you like it!

C r e a t i v e J o u r n a l i n g

Today I wanted to share with you a few of my journal entries that I have done. If you would like to see most of my journaling you can find me on *Pinterest* at Charlotte Davis; I have a separate board called "My journaling". Recently, when I went up to Indianapolis, I met two girls who were amazing journalists. They inspired very much. I decided to try it out for myself. I found out that I enjoy it very much! Here are a few of them.

I also started my own separate notebook just for the purpose of creating artsy journaling , and since I have tons of spare journals it works! This was the first thing I wrote in it. I found the idea on *Pinterest*!

This shows you the supplies I use, which is a black pen, colored pens, and some washi tape which adds beautiful embellishment when I want that effect.

This one is one of my favorites! I especially like the cute little flags I drew up in the corners. I didn't get this idea from *Pinterest*, I actually picked a verse out of the bible and took my own ideas for decorations, the same for the other verse up above.

Cry Out 2016

Last week I made a trip to Indianapolis. The whole trip started when my mom registered to attend Revive our Hearts Women's Conference. My dad kindly volunteered to be her chaffeur to Indianapolis leaving me no choice but to tag along. In fact, I eventually found out that they  had a Teen Track especiall for teen girls. I had a great time and I am very glad I went. So here are some pictures.

This is a group of sweet girls I met while I was there. It was so great to meet them!
Also, we are standing in front of the name of the women's conference,"Cry Out 16".

This next picture is of the girls of Girl Defined, Kristen Clark and Bethany Baird. I loved meeting them in person. Check out their blog,  Girl Defined.

This is the book that they wrote. I bought it when I was in Indianapolis. They even signed my book!
The book is about God's radical design for beauty, femininity, and identity. So far I am enjoying it.

My 2015 Vermont Mission Trip

Today I wanted to just share with you a little bit of my Vermont mission trip from last summer. I went to Vermont with a few people in my church, me being the only one under fifty.
This picture is just of a gorgeous flower outside the church we visited.

This is all the people that I went with!

This is me helping paint a church that needed work. We were the ones to clean and paint the church. In fact, I did enjoy doing SOME of the painting.

I wanted to leave you with this breathtaking view from a deaf women's home we visited. She had a gorgeous area for people to come and pray, while walking around  enjoying all of God's beautiful nature He has created.

Posing with Friends

Today I wanted to show a few pictures of my friends and me. All these pictures also might be from a while ago.

This picture was taken on my birthday this year. Laura, who I have already mentioned before, is on the far left. Next to me on the left is Lydia, who has the blog "Mountaintop Talk". Gianna is beside me on the farthest right (and if you can't tell, I'm  the one with the scarf in the middle).

This is my friend Drew, that I met at the beach about four years ago. Ever since then we have met at the beach ever other year. We did start out as pen pals, but it eventually turned into texting and FaceTime. This picture was taken during the summer.

Another picture of Lydia, my dear friend!

This is a picture from a very long time ago with Laura, my crazy but great friend!

A Day Without Cats is like a Day Without Sunshine

Today I'm going to tell you about my sweet cats!

This is George as you have already meet. He is always in a position for the camera. George is a laid back cat, who goes with the flow. Also an inside cat, who's dreams of escaping outside. I love George!

This is Serena a sweet cat full of love. Her name Serena describes her, for she is serene. She is a inside cat that loves to be with you wherever you are. She is not sociable around our guests, but very attached to my family. I love Serena very much!

Just a random, but cute picture of George and Serena.

Now I want forget to mention our outside cat Louie. He just showed up at our house with the most wonderful personality. We like to say that he chose us. Louie is a family loving cat, who is very enjoyable to be with. I also love Louie! What can I say I just adore cats.

Washi Tape Creations

Today I wanted to show you a few washi tape ideas. Here are some :)

This idea is not quite my own idea I found it on pinterest and just took my creativity and added the letter C for my name. Also every time I get new washi tape I add on to the design.

This one is probably my favorite, because I came up with this idea. Basically, I just took a boring stapler and turned it into a pretty and colorful stapler!

I also saw this idea on Pinterest, I have to admit. Its my iPod charger that I just decorated, and it became a beautiful charger. This idea is also nice because it helps you know its your charger.

This picture shows all of my washi tape, and as you can see I am still collecting them. I also have a cute box for them you can also see in the picture. So there are some ideas to help make boring items into pretty ones. It is a fun activity and easy to do!

A New Year of School

Today I started 8th grade! I am home schooled, if anyone was wondering. The summer sadly has said its goodbyes therefore, I must start school. Some things I started today are Pre-Algebra, Church History, and Latin. I have been doing Latin for awhile which I can't say I love, but it teaches me much about vocabulary.

Summer Days

Summer days are some of the most enjoyable days of the year. Especially when you have time to take a minute to savor every moment. One of my favorite things to do is write in my journal and share my thoughts to my journal. I love to look back at my journal and see all the things from many years ago and see what I have written down. I also love to read the Bible and do my Bible study. The Bible is the best book that you could ever read.

George is also always there to join me in the pleasant moments in the day!

Another activity I like to do on summer days is take polaroid pictures. This polaroid camera is actually not my own, but I share it with my family. The pictures their are mostly of my friend Laura and me, but of course, my cats Serena and George too. Be prepared for their will most likely be many pictures of the cats on my blog.

My First Post

For a good while now I have been urging my mom to let me start my own blog. Finally, she has agreed. I am tremendously happy!
This picture I have posted is my new full-size violin. I began taking violin lessons four years. I love to hear the sound of it singing to the Lord.

I also play the piano, which I absolutely love to play. The piano is a instrument that I can go to and time passes quickly as I play, with my fingers sweeping across the keys in contentment.
What I have told you is only a" little note" from a musical dancer's journal.
